Back to nature for a sustainable future

On friday We went home. We left with the buss from the school at 10.00 together with the students from Denmark. We Said goodbye to the Danish students at the airport. We ate some food before we went on the airplane. Then we flew to Arlanda and then to Skellefteå. We came to Arvidsjaur around 20.00. Agnes/Isak

On thursday the day began at 9 at school. During the day we had many group-works. We made posters and gave feedback on the week. Earlier in the week the Lithuanians gave the Latvian school a tree, the school had also bought a tree to plant as a reminder of the week. We planted them both by the school. We had lunch at the school-cafeteria. After school many of us went iceskating. Then most of us went home to prepare for the party. We met at school again att 6. Everyone said thank you to the school, ate food and played games. At 10 the Lithuanians left to go home so everyone said goodbye to them.  The we cleaned up a little and went home. This was the last day of a great week. Julia/Alva

Today we went to a national park in Tervete. We got to learn about the forests in Latvia and about all the animals that lives in the forests.  We got split into two groups. One with the latvians and the other one with sweden, denmark and lithuania people. Then we went around and looked at styffed animals and what was typical for them.  After that we went back to the school and then we just had some spare time with our families.  So me, Frida, Agnes and our hosts went to Riga and shopped. We found some matching hoodies and food.  Good night / Tilma and Frida

Today we had our homework presentation. So every country presented what they have done for “homework”. Everyone had some great movies and presentation and good delivery. When everyone was finished we had Mac and cheese for lunch.  After lunch we did a group exercise in form of a quiz. The questions was based around the theme of the trip and around every country participating. For example there could be a question how old is Denmarks first national park.  When we finished the quiz we got two hours of spare time. So we all went with our hosts and had some quick activities. At 4 pm we all had to be back at the school to get on the bus that would take us to the bowling alley. There we spent the rest of our evening eating, bowling and talking to everyone. Then when we finished the bowling session we all went back with our hosts to be able to spend time with the families. Anton

Today we had some ice breaker activities we played a game where we were going to stand in an circle and one in the middle of the circle and one of those in the circle choose dance move and everybody made that move and the one in the middle we’re going to guess who made up the dance moves. We also had some speed dating to get to know each other’s. We went with some students around the school and showed us everything after a while we got a test about the school and we were going to take pictures of certain things. After that we had lunch. The lunch was much better then expected it was really good. We then went to Riga and their very beautiful old town. We got an exercise to search for specific things and take a picture of it. When we were done with that we spend some time just walking around in the old town. Then we went to a mall and had the chance to buy some stuff. Both of us liked it here in Ozolnieki and Riga and we really enjoyed this day so much and we got so many new friends.
